DeLaSalle participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition at the University of Minnesota on April 6-8. There were over 100 teams that competed from schools all over Minnesota and other neighboring states. The DLS team was the biggest it has ever been this year with 15-18 members who met 3x a week to build a robot that should be able to set a gear, throw a ball, and climb a rope. Our students used computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering to design and build the robot. A big thanks to the two mentors Owen and Andrew, engineers themselves who helped support our kids with the building process. Another special thanks to our sponsors (Amerhart, Medtronic, 3M, HB Fuller) for providing funding, equipment, and professional support!
If you are interested in participating in Robotics next year, we are always looking for energetic, motivated students! Contact Mr. Wolfe for more information.
