Game Recap

DeLaSalle won against a gritty Brooklyn Center team on Tuesday night. Several key players sat out with injury for DeLaSalle, yet they came away with a solid home victory. John Basch opened the scoring in the first half, and sophomore Sam Goetz followed it up with a nice run from the wing and slotted it in near post.

Brooklyn Center scored at the end of the first half on a free kick from just outside the penalty box, and then opened the scoring quickly after the half with a long ball that the forward was able to tap around the Islander keeper.

The second Brooklyn Center goal really woke the sleeping Islanders, as junior captain Jimmy Farah added two second half goals to will his team to victory.
